Hello. I’m Adebola Oluwasegun - a Christian, husband, father, pastor, Christian life coach, and writer based in Houston, Texas.

I currently serve on the pastoral team at The Way of Life Christ Ministries in Houston, Texas, where I participate in teaching, counselling, spiritual guidance, and the work of helping people grow in their relationship with God.

For more than 20 years, my passion has been to help the people within my sphere of influence—family, friends, neighbours, colleagues, church members, and the wider community—come to the knowledge of a saving and living faith in Jesus Christ. I believe this faith is the foundation and sustaining source of genuine purpose, spiritual transformation, and lasting peace.

WHAT I BELIEVE

My life and ministry are built on the conviction that the God revealed in the Judeo-Christian Scriptures is the source, foundation, and essence of life.

I believe that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that the ultimate answer to our deepest questions about identity, purpose, truth, and eternity is in Him. I also believe that true spiritual understanding, reason, and meaning are discovered through relationship with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit reveals Christ, renews the mind, transforms the heart, and empowers believers to live according to the truth of God.

These convictions shape how I approach faith, family, purpose, leadership, work, relationships, and the realities of everyday life.

WHY I WRITE

I created this blog to share biblical wisdom and practical tools for Christian living.

We live in an ever-evolving world filled with competing ideas about truth, identity, success, happiness, and purpose. While culture continues to change, the truth of God remains the most dependable foundation on which we can build our lives.

Through Bible studies, Christian devotionals, practical teaching, personal reflections, and life-coaching insights, I explore three central themes:

 1. Humanity Was Created to Worship God: Worship is more than singing or participating in a church service. It is the reason for our existence and should shape how we live, work, serve, build relationships, and make decisions. This blog examines what it means to place God at the centre of life and to recognize that everything ultimately belongs to His kingdom, power, and glory.

2. Aligning Everyday Reality with Biblical Truth: Human experiences are real, but our interpretation of those experiences must be guided by truth. I write about how Scripture can help us understand and respond to life’s realities, including suffering, ambition, relationships, work, personal growth, disappointment, uncertainty, and change.

The objective is not to ignore reality but to interpret and navigate it through the truth of God’s Word.

3. Understanding Purpose in an Ever-Evolving World: The world is constantly changing, but God’s purpose is not made obsolete by cultural or technological change. Through this blog, I help readers consider questions such as:

- Why did God create humanity?

- What does it mean to live with purpose?

- How can we recognize God’s direction?

- How should Christians respond to a changing culture?

- How can faith shape our families, careers, relationships, and communities?

- What does it mean to live under the lordship of Jesus Christ?

My aim is to help readers move beyond temporary definitions of success and discover a life rooted in God’s eternal purpose.

This blog is for people from every background and season of life who want to understand biblical truth and apply it to everyday experience. I write especially for:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Lagos State University, Nigeria. My education in economics has influenced the way I consider human choices, society, stewardship, responsibility, and the relationship between belief and behaviour. My pastoral and life-coaching experiences have also given me opportunities to walk alongside people as they navigate questions of faith, family, purpose, and personal growth.

For over two decades, I have remained committed to helping people discover and live out the truth of Jesus Christ within the practical realities of life.

BEYOND WRITING AND MINISTRY

When I am not writing, teaching, or serving in ministry, I enjoy working on DIY projects, counselling and encouraging people, spending time with my family, and playing soccer. These activities remind me that faith is not limited to formal ministry. God can be honoured through family life, service, recreation, creativity, work, and the ordinary responsibilities of each day.

My Foundational Scripture is Matthew 6:13 - “For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.”   This Scripture expresses the conviction behind my life and writing: the kingdom belongs to God, the power comes from God, and all glory must return to God.
